The Best Apps for Finding New Trails + Paths
Share
We’re constantly looking for new running paths and trails to try out, so we have put together a list of the apps we use to help us find new ones. All these apps are great for runners, hikers, and bikers.
All trails
If you’re a trail runner, this app is great for finding new trails in parks or near your home. You can also track your route as you go to see your stats and share your route with someone else.
Trail Link
Similar to All Trails, Trail Link has a ton of trail routes with descriptions, reviews, photos, and detailed maps. Also with this app you can download the maps to use offline. The app focuses on Rails-to-Trail and is powered by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy.
Maplets
Maplets is a great database of national parks, state parks, metro areas, and bike trails. If you’re just looking for the maps and don’t want any of the other features, this is a great one.
Footpath Route Planner
If you’re looking to measure the distance and elevation of a certain route, footpath route planner can do that for you. We’ve found this works good for roads, but not necessarily trails.
