Treadmill Workouts for Busy People

Treadmill workouts under 30 minutes for when you want a quick but effective workout. 

The Up Hill Battle - for the days when you want a good up hill workout. This one is from Sarah Canney's blog

  • 10 minute warm up
  • 4 minutes at 5% incline
  • 2 minutes at 10% incline
  • 2 minutes at 12% incline
  • 2 minutes at 15% incline
  • 10 minute cool down at 0% incline

    For the clock watchers 

    • Start at a comfortable pace and incline.
    • Put on a song or tv show
    • When the song is over or a commercial comes on the tv, check the distance. 
    • Up the pace and incline and try to beat the distance. 

    Easy day 20 minutes 

    • 5 Minutes at 5.0 speed
    • 5 Minutes at 6.0 speed 
    • 5 Minutes at 7.0 speed
    • 5 Minutes at 5.0 speed

    For Incline and Speed - From asweatlife.com, this workout alternates increasing incline and speed.

    • 1 Minute at 1% incline
    • 1 Minute increase speed to 2%
    • Repeat first two until you get to 6% incline
    • Work your way back down to 0% 
    • Finish with one minute sprint at 7% incline.
