50 Mile Shorts 2.0

I’m really loving the shorts. I ordered these because I saw all the pockets, and I refused to buy any shorts or running tights that don’t have pockets from now on. These fit very comfortably ,not too tight around the waist, don’t ride up , don’t slip at the waist, and the length is perfect for my thick thighs. The sizes do run just a tad bit differently, I am a size 14 and I usually wear a large to extra large in running shorts and tights, but I had to order 2XL and they fit perfect. i’m excited to wear these during my marathon training, and my marathon coming up this fall. The only complaint I have is they run out very quickly on the larger sizes.I was able to order a black pair in the 2xl , but all the other colors in the 2xl are sold out. I’m excited to try the new PR crop top, we will see how it fits.

Thank you for making shorts long enough for tall girls! The material is great and the stay in place. No moving no chafing!!

This is my 2nd attempt at the 50 mile shorts; I wasn't a fan of the first version. But with the changes, I gave it another go and I am really a fan. I bought one pair, then immediately bought other colors. All of the pockets are extremely functional. I am 54 and having birthed two kids, my waist isn't as toned as it was before kids, and being active as a runner and with weights, my legs are toned--so I frequently have issues with athletic wear that the waist is too tight if the legs fit and if the waist fits the legs are too loose. These shorts work all the way around for me and they stay put on the run--no creeping anywhere.

I do not buy running shorts/pants without side pockets. Ever! But even with side pockets, I found my situation lacking: without a zipper, I was too paranoid to bring credit cards or ID to races lest they fall out without me noticing. These shorts 100% solve that problem! I can put my phone in one pocket, mace in the other, keys in the zipper pocket, and running fuel in the two smaller top pockets. Arguably more importantly, however, the shorts don't ride up, nor have I experienced any chafing. Flawless.

My only minor complaint is that the back of the waist does dip, as I am not only tall-ish (5'9") but also, shall we say, well-endowed in the butt area. This problem could potentially be solved by going up a size and then tightening the drawstring at the waist. If you are similarly gifted, you might consider doing so.

Very happy. The gray is dark enough to mostly hide sweat. Longest run so far was 19 miles, and I plan to wear for my next marathon. I really like the secure zip pocket for a key, and the dual side pockets for fuel and phone. With other pocket shorts, sometimes an empty fuel wrapper would fall out when I grabbed another gel, but the extra pocket solves that. True to size for me at medium, 5'9" 145#. Tempted to buy more even though my shorts drawer is full!
